SUNFLOWERS IN BLOOM

ONE EDUCATOR AT A TIME

Sunflowers in Bloom is where our community gets to know the educators we're honored to support. Meet our garden, celebrate each month's featured Bloom, and see how, together, we're helping teachers flourish.

November 2026: Educator of the Month

Sunflower #3 | Jacora Wright

Each month, we celebrate one educator whose dedication, passion, and impact inspire our community. Educator of the Month offers a closer look at the educators we're honored to support and the stories behind their classrooms.

Four Oaks Middle School
Johnston County, NC

Meet This Educator

After five years of teaching, our featured Sunflower is starting a new chapter at a Title I school, where she will support middle school students. She has taught inclusion classes and has always worked to make her classrooms welcoming for students with different learning needs.

Why they became a teacher?

Inclusive learning has been central to her teaching experience. She uses different instructional strategies to support students with varying abilities and learning needs, helping each student have an opportunity to succeed.

What they love about their students?

She understands that students may face challenges outside of school that can impact their learning. She works to create a welcoming environment where students feel supported and have the resources they need.

A Classroom Goal or Current Need

Her team needs some classroom basics like glue sticks, anchor chart paper, scissors, highlighters, cleaning supplies, and an electronic pencil sharpener. They also hope to give out 100 reusable homework folders so students can stay organized all year and even use them in the future.
